07 pt cruiser

I traded in my ‘03 Volvo S60 for this tiny black 2007 PT Cruiser.
I consider it a successful transition from Yuppie to Aging Boomer.
Made in Mexico (si!), Chrysler introduced the first PT’s in March of 2000 as a 2001 model.
My insurance company calls the PT a van. I’m using it as a fully enclosed 2-seat pickup truck. I’m told there about 160 different ways to configure the interior.
I just took out the 2 rear seats (they weigh less than 50lbs and have a convenient carrying handle), so with the four side doors and full rear hatch I can easily stuff the little black booger with a ton of camping gear or load up my bass gear and the drummer’s kit and be gig-ready in moments without a lot of struggling and awkward lifting, tugging or pulling. I love this biach!
OK, I gave up some bling with the trade…no sunroof (it’s Michigan - no fucking sun, anyway), 5-cylinder power (bfd), passenger-side ‘comfort’ controls (learn to share), and heated leather seats (my ass is hot enough).
No, I haven’t customized the wee beastie or joined any PT Cruiser Clubs.
Yet.
I’d join the the PT Cruisers of Silicone Valley, though. Check out the pix in their Member’s Gallery.
